Remove Default Alert Date

Update Show Date

For an announcement message that may be posted for a while but not require daily updates it may be best to turn off the date during the non-update phase (e.g. COVID-19)

Access is required to; sdsu account, www section, ou-alerts section, then alerts-config.pcf

  1. Check out alerts-config.pcf (light bulb turns yellow), select Properties option
  2. Scroll down to Active Announcement Options
  3. Show Date – select No (same procedures to enable date field changing option to Yes)
  4. Save changes (bottom right)
  5. Publish alert-config.pcf > verify date is removed from alert (in this case homepage)
